Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier jointly released the seventh edition of the World's Top 2% Scientists 2024list. This list accurately reflects the influence and research achievements of scientists through two dimensions: the "Lifetime Scientific Impact List" and the "Annual Scientific Impact List." Professor Cheng Xiuwen from our school has been recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists.

Professor Cheng Xiuwen Included in the "Annual Scientific Impact Ranking"

The rankings are based on citation data system analysis from the Scopus database, utilizing six comprehensive indicators (composite score, C-score), including citation counts (distinguishing self-citations from others), H-index, and HM factor. The selection process identifies the top 2% of scientists worldwide from nearly 7 million researchers based on "Career Impact" and "Annual Impact," divided into 22 fields and 176 subfields. The list provides metrics for long-term scientific performance, objectively reflecting the academic influence of scientists.
