Professor Tobias Bolch has been the Professor of Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry at the Institute of Geodesy, Graz University of Technology (TUG), Graz, Austria, since 2023. He also leads the Mountain Cryosphere Research Group. His research primarily explores the impact of climate change on glaciers and glacial hazards across various mountain ranges globally, with a particular focus on High Asia, where he has worked for over two decades. Professor Bolch has been an invited speaker at numerous international conferences in Asia, Europe, and North America. He has published more than 100 well-recognized papers in leading international journals, including Nature and Science, and is ranked among the world's most influential researchers in geosciences for several years.
