Expert Introduction:
Yang Kun is a long-appointed professor in the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University and a recipient of the National Outstanding Young Scientists Fund. he received his B.S. from Tsinghua University in 1994, M.S. from Tsinghua University in 1997, and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2000. He was an associate professor at the University of Tokyo in 2003, a research fellow at the Institute of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. He was appointed professor at Tsinghua University in 2016. He has led major projects and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He is mainly engaged in researching earth system processes and model development on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. He has published more than 270 papers and has been cited more than 13,000 times by SCI. He has been listed in Elsevier's "Highly Cited Authors in China" and Coreview's "Highly Cited Scholars in the World" many times. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Hydrology, Scientific Data, and other journals.
